В статье представлена обзорная информация по эпидемиологии и этиологии пиометры у собак. Проанализированы факторы риска, особенности клинического проявления и клинические формы заболевания. Рассмотрены некоторые аспекты и проблемы диагностики пиометры и диагностические критерии раннего выявления признаков сепсиса (системной воспалительной реакции) у собак с пиометрой. Проведен анализ основных современных методов терапии пиометры. Подчеркнуто, что в настоящее время тотальная овариогистерэктомия является самым эффективным и безопасным методом лечения любой формы пиометры у собак.

The paper provides an overview of the epidemiology and etiology of canine pyometra. The authors analyze risk factors, clinical manifestations, and clinical forms of the disease and well on some aspects and problems of diagnosing pyometra and diagnostic criteria for the early detection of sepsis signs (a systemic inflammatory reaction) in dogs suffering from pyometra. The main modern methods of pyometra therapy are analyzed. It is emphasized that, at present complete ovariohysterectomy is the most effective and safe method of treating any form of canine pyometra.
